Bottle @ The Greenwald Residence. Woah, why does this look like Coke? Anyway, it smells right. A lot of baked apple, apple pie, and caramel. Actually has a strong maple character to it as well. Maybe some raisin. A good bit of acidity to it, though could use a touch more. Little bit of chocolate oxidation to it as well. Still pretty solid.

Bottle from 2007 shared with Dany, Rudy, Eric, and my wife at Be Bap in Montreal. Pours a clear brown. Warm old caramel and apple sugar on the nose, a touch of alcohol, umami. Reminds me of the old koshu that KyotoLefty shared at the Michigan RSBG. Thick supple body, long caramel with bright vibrant acidity. Lingering young acid over long old caramel. Brilliant and beautiful.

375 ml. bottle shared by Kraddel during the (Ice) Cider/Perry tasting @ Barely Legal Tasting Room. Thank you! 2007 Vintage. Last one ever made apparently. Bottle has been open for quite some time & resulting in significant evolution, I have been told by Kraddel. Darkest appearance for an ice cider yet. Reddish, very dark brown amber. Nose is distinctly cherry, apple liqueur, cherry pits & oxidation; Taste is mix of caramelized apples & cherry, warming, syrupy, sweet spices, cinnamon, toffee. Lightly warming. Different for sure, not as good as the others but awesome all the same.

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! murky light brown-reddish pour and showing its legs thoroughly. raisin wort, red apples - jelly, but also red fruits like raspberries, wood, apple and grape skin, sweetness - apple jelly and brown sugar, light tartness - mostly citric. still, medium to full body - oily and sticky, lightly astringent, lightly tart and sweet finish. very good! unique.

Bottel 375ml. [2007] Pours very dark amber with no head. Aroma is of apples, jam, red and black fruits. Taste is of apples, sugar, slight tarntess, some acidity, red apple peel. Palate: Full bodied. Sweet. No serious carbonation. Stunning balance. Overall: Good drinkability. Very complex.

Bottle (375 ml). Thanks to Thomas for this one! Dark amber with ruby reflects, no head and no lacing. Aroma is very fruit forward with strong berries presence (mostly rapsberries, even if there’s none in there), apple jelly, caramel and acidic notes. Taste is very sweet, but it’s well balance by the sharp acidity... there’s berries in there too, apple jelly, brown sugar and oak notes. Medium body. Still. Liquorous mouthfeel. Lingering sweet and fruity finish. Quite different from the Ice Ciders we have in Québec. Not the most complex, but super tasty and fun to try. I loved it!

375mL bottle, pours a clear mahogany / maroon with just a few bubbles. Nose is deeply complex and rich, with loads of caramelized apples, a little treacle toffee, and some alcohol. Flavour is pretty great, with loads of caramelized sugar, treacle toffee, sweet apples, and a hefty alcoholic burn. Very thick and syrupy mouthfeel, with a bit of a berry-like cloying sweetness on the finish. Wonderful stuff.
