Single bottle, pours a dark rusty amber. Tastes of ripe fruit, plums, raisins, and molasses. The 8% could be harsher but instead provides a gently warming on the inside.

Confusing name but draft at Peabody. Dark brown color. No head on this. Aroma is malt syrup, earthy and no hops. Mouthfeel is slightly undercarbonated. Sweet sryup, not big and not very lagery. hershiser2 (3410) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - DEC 3, 2016
Bottle from Total Wine, Gainesville. Bottled simply as The Cask. Pours clear deep brown with a dusting of a head. Aroma of chocolates, spice, caramel, dark fruit. Flavor is sweet caramel, leaves, dark fruit, maple or vanilla or something. A bit too sweet, but still enjoyable. tsd08460 (1190) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - SEP 28, 2016

On tap at the BNA Party last week. Deep ruby brown color with a stingy off white head. Rich syrupy fruitiness with some burnt caramel and hint of alcohol. Pretty nice dopplebock.

Bottle from Perfect Pour. Nice dark, oaky body with thin head. Nose is sweet, vanilla, coco. Taste is really nice malts, toasty, caramel. Sweet and pretty smooth. Really enjoyable. stevoj (5271) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 26, 2016
Bottle from Cindy’s Spirits. On the money doppelbock, could use a nudge in the "lasting head" department, but all else is right on. Molasses/brown sugar sweetness permeate both aroma and taste, nice slick body. Elements of maple syrup, rum and raisins. Cheers to this brewery’s output! guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - DEC 5, 2015
Rusty hue with a small, tan, fast fading head that left little lacing. Aroma of honey wheat bread, toffee and ripe fruit. Caramel malt sweetness starts things off, bringing along notes of dark fruit, brown sugar and molasses. Full bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a long lasting finish. 12 FL OZ ($2.99 Bottle) pretty decent beer. recommended from a friend and was pretty good. 8% ABV was hidden well and the beer went down fairly well. happy overall. Maverick34 (3250) - New York, USA - JUL 15, 2015
Pours dark unto tulip glass. Malts some plum and other dark fruit. Pretty well done dB.
