COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pendulum Pilsner is a rich velvet smooth, yet clean, dry and crisp pilsner of a pale gold color. The complex mix of hops and malt creates an elegant floral nose and delightful taste that is very drinkable without overwhelming even the most tepid beer drinker. Not overly bitter but just enough of the hop to enjoy their subtle complexities while still enjoying the smooth, and almost sweet taste of the malt. Serve Pendulum in a tall glass to enjoy the carbonated bead and the steady white head that laces the glass and taste why Pendulum Pilsner is a cut above the rest.

Nice amber pils, clear, filtered. Bitter as it should with soft carbonization (soft compared to other pils beer, not ales). Overall it brings back a bit of that Central European beer taste that I miss, stands out from all the regular ales on display in North America. Recommend.

Took a chance and picked up a 6-pack of this Pilsner at State Line Liquors while traveling through MD. Could have included it in a Mix-a-Six but am glad I didnt. One of the best new (to me) Pilsners in quite some time. Nicely full bodied yet very refreshing . Much more than a lawnmower beer yet seemingly could be considered as a session beer. Hope its distribution reaches further north in ensuing months. Im very impressed with all 3 products from the Raven label that I brought home.

Clear, yellow/gold appearance with a large white head and good lacing. Subtly hopped, toasted grain aroma. Floral hops are more evident in the taste and well balanced by crystal malts. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a crisp, clean aftertaste. Nicely made, welcome addition to the local beer scene.

Poured from a bottle. Clear fizzy orange color, no head. Sweat grain aroma. Good initial grain taste with a real subtle finish, nice drinkability. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle. Nice hop, bread and honey aroma. A bit darker than your average pils. I taste malt, hops, honey, pepper. Crisp feel. Not bad - pretty straight forward pils.

Bottle. Poured a pretty clear golden yellow color with a large white head. Aroma was toasted malts, some light grain. Plenty of crystal. Flavor was crisp and clean malts, some earthy and floral hop notes. Pretty clean, easy to drink - a pretty good Pilsner.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 5/22/13

Aroma: The nose is clean and grassy, with some grainy and cereal malts, and light spice
Appearance: It pours a clear golden-orange color with a small off-white head and some drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-sweet, with some nice malts, light spice, and a clean hop bitter finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, not at all watery, very clean and drinkable, with a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: Wow, only 3 raters before me! Anway, Ill skip the bad Poe joke this time (I already did that in my "Tell Take Heart" review). I thought this was a very solid pilsener. It has a really nice mix of hops and malts on the nose, and the flavor works pretty much just as well. I found some small flaws that kept this from being a top of example style, but it is still a very nice beer. So far, after trying two of their beers, Im pretty happy with the work of these here Poe fans. As far as Poe-centric things that are new to me in 2013 go, this brewery is way better than The Following.

Tap. Pours clear, light amber with thin, creamy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is caramel and cereal malts, oranges, citrus and grassy hops, and light toast. Flavor is grassy hops and bready malts forward with supporting light fruit esters and light caramel; dry finish. Light body and low carbonation.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a bright gold with a frothy white head. The nose has a little cereal grains with a noble hop note. Nice cracker, cereal, and grain notes with a very slight hint of butter and just enough bitterness on the back end to make it refreshing. Slight florals emerge as it warms. Simple but refreshing.
