Cloudy brown-amber color. Malt and fruits in the aroma, candies. Quite robust body, with a good maltiness, light roasted note, stronger caramel at the end, and a quite long bitterness. Regular Bitter, very similar to a bitter Dubbel. harrisoni (18809) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 12, 2010 500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Oh dear. Murky reddy copper colour with thin white head. Soapy, spicey and not my style of beer at all. The spices seem all out of kilter with the rest of the beer. Perhaps it is just my sense of taste. Re-rate, you know what? I had to drink this again and it really is awful, the spice and perfume is just way too strong. Unbalanced and more or less completely undrinkable. saxo (18800) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2012

Bottle @ DØE Øl Festival 2012. Clear amber/dark golden with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, and spices. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, little bitter, spices and a little bitter. yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 26, 2007
Bottle, at Cardinal. Hazy, golden body, topped by a minimalt off-white head. The aroma and flavor surprised me a bit, I was expecting more of a pale ale or something like that. It is quite sweet, with ginger, malt and hops, and the flavor has some dried fruits as well. The ginger comes through in the finish as well, and is followed by a pleasant hoppiness. Medium body. I find it a bit heavy on the ginger, but else it is quite nice. (070623) jtclockwork (16685) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 9, 2010
Interesting ale smells like peppermint. Taste has a syrupy texture to it, but very pleasant. Rated 2/3/03 FatPhil (16359) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 25, 2009
UPDATED: APR 26, 2009 500ml bottle (Gallows Bird, Espoo)
Rich reddy brown, small head. Very sweet spicy aroma. Succulent palate, carbonation restrained. Full bodied flavour, cake and winter spices - ginger and cinnamon. Finish continues that theme. Perhaps a little over-spiced, but not so much as to make it a gimmick. Absolutely delicious, and want again.
