Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 26 April 2013. Poured a clear golden colour with a dense white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of bready malt, some yeast and grassy hop. Doughy malt, caramel and straw in the initial flavour. Palate was fairly light, with moderate bitterness and some sugary malt.

On gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol April 2013. Golden with a tight white head. Orange and yeasty stone fruits, big grainy malts and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Gold with a thick creamy head & a light fizz. The creamy lemon up front is pleasant enough; the dirty cardboardy bitterness that follows is less so. Not one of the better beers at this fest.

Cask at the moon under water JDW watford. Golden good creamy persistent head. Aroma lemon grass woody and yeast. Flavour has a Bready wheat character a little sweet initially then the bitterness comes in and the finish is dry. It is a dry grassy bitterness. Noble hip a little biting.

berkshirejohn (6407) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2013
Cask at The Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. A clear straw pour with a thin, brilliant white, head that laced the glass nicely; fresh floral aroma; floral flavour to start with a floury body; then a pleasant, fruity, bitterness leading to a clean finish, with some dry wheaty biscuit to end - Jacobs Cream Crackers come to mind. Overall a refreshing summer beer.

Nocturne (1973) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2013
Cask. Slightly hazy gold with a white head and lacing. Sharply citric aroma with plenty more orange, grapefruit and apricot jam character on the tongue. Banana wheatiness lurks underneath. Lingering sticky mouthfeel. Wheat beers arent usually my thing but this is very nice.

RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2013
cask, Woodrow Wilson, Carlisle. Very clear golden beer (was told it had been authentically cloudy 2 days previously!). Sweet malt & faint lemon aroma & taste, with bready/yeasty notes late on. Pleasant and easy going.

Cask conditioned handpump Becketts Bank Leeds 15/04/13. A straw coloured beer with a white head and lace. Wheaty and lemony. Pleasant crispness. Refreshing and honest. Nothing special but then it is a wheat ale.

DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2013
The Baron of Hinckley, 16/04/13. Cream-topped bronze with a hint of murk. Ah, this is the wheat. Sweet soggy spiced biscuit front finishing with unexpected bitterness. Orange peel, yeast and pine nose. G+T stirred with a Twiglet. Nut husk afters. Heavy and disjointed. Tastes like the dregs of a weird yeasty BC bitter.

ManVsBeer (9992) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2013
Golden with a small head. It has a potent aroma with an aniseed edge, but not a huge amount of wheat character.
