Real Ale Brewer's Cut #2
A- hazy dark brown, very dark brown. Pretty much black. Small half finger head.
S- big sweet dark fruit notes with burnt sugar and a slight hint of acetone.
T- again big dark fruit, caramel, a lot of burnt sugar bitterness. Bit of an aged cheese on the finish. Pretty big alcohol bite as well. Very complex.
M- thick sticky mouthfeel. Coats the tongue. Cheesy aftertaste.
O- okay, so I still don't like Quads all that much. Take my review with a grain of salt. It's pretty tasty, but there are some flavors that I don't like. It's definitely better than Rochefort 10. It's good. If you're into quads it probably great! Very complex.
A nice beer, for 6 dollars will more than get you buzzed. Great end of the day beverage

Sweet raisiny aroma. Deep brown-black color with a ruby edge and a ring of soft, off-white head. A sweet quad with a roasty edge. Drake (14063) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 31, 2016
Bomber thanks to Secret Santa crajun! Dark brown, large foamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of bready malts, plum, toffee. The taste is chocolate, nuts, plum, bready malts, cherries. Medium bodied, low carbonation, well hidden booze. mysticbrew (118) - - FEB 6, 2016
Pours a rich dark caramel brown with a tan head that lingers to lacings. The color is opaque with an amber brown showing through at the top. The flavor is malt with a fair about of roast. Some hop character that comes through the nose is evident. There is a quality of fig or prune to the flavor. Medium to medium-full body. Finishes with a bit of effervescence that leads to a perception of a lighter beer than actually presented.

Deep heavy amberish brown with a thin light tan cap. Big aroma of plum and raisin and a boozy purple fruity tone. Nice full flavor with plum and fig, a little raisin, and a fruity boozy finish.

Dark spicy nose. Licorice and plums, some raisin maybe. Fairly complex palate, hints of black licorice but diffused by Blanco style hop action. Very nice job but a beer to save for a bottle maybe twice per year. Dominating sophisticated flavor for specific tastes and times for me. 6 bucks per 22 oz bottle, extremely difficult to find even in its market in Austin. 10.5% bang. A solid punch for the money. crajun (1259) - , Texas, USA - OCT 18, 2015
really need to drink this again; my notes are not clear... recall says good quad. Not quite the depth in flavor as the best but dark fruits, toffee is there. . will try again. good price also. RA is putting out quality stuff! ZacM612 (751) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - OCT 11, 2015
Dark brown with beige head. Dark fruit aroma with some alcohol. Rich, malty flavor. Smooth, despite the strength. Andrew196 (1980) - Katy, Texas, USA - OCT 8, 2015
Dark in color, like cola on the edges, tan head, moderate lacing. Aroma of raisin, plum. Flavor followed suit, with a breathy finish, deep malts and a dry finish. Alcohol was well masked. A wonderful take on a style from the best brewery in Texas.
