UPDATED: NOV 5, 2012 This is my new go to beer... Thank you Sjohnny! Strong, dark, sweet flavor. It reminds me of learning to drink sweet coffee without cream. Great dark color, no head, sweet aroma. Judes (29) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 7, 2012
Wow- amazing smell, like pancake syrup and toast jelly and molasses. Has a bite but so smooth. Shared a couple of bottles and felt good afterwards. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Pours dark mahogany with a tiny light tan head. Smells of dark fruits and hints of dark roast. Taste is dark fruits with hints of roast and bread and a tiny hint of booze. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Real Ale Brewer’s Cut Black Quad finishes with a vinous tingle. sjohnny (636) - - OCT 20, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2012 Yeast and caramel aroma. Pours a glistening dark brown like polished tourmaline. When it first hit my tongue I said "Oh Wow". It’s like a good stout and a good quad fell in love, got married and had a baby. They gave birth at the Real Ale Brewery and named their baby Brewer’s Cut Black Quad. Root beer, toffee, fruit, caramel. Ever so slight coffee bitterness on the finish. leo2x4us (65) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Appearance is black with thin head. Taste is malty with carmel maple sweetness. Not to bitter and has a hint of coffee.

Bottle from Bu11zeye. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of plummy dark fruit, anise, cognac, raisin, molasses raisin cookie, maybe chocolate. Med + body. Flavor is treacle, plum/raisin, chocolate. A little heat. Like barrel aged, tho it isn’t. What a treat. Finishes chocolate cognac. dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Bottle from Choice Beverages in McKinney. Pours black with a medium tan head. The aromas are Chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, licorice. The mouthfeel is sticky and sweet with a heavy body and light carbonation. Excellent beer! Cheers! dlihcsnatas (745) - Temple, Texas, USA - DEC 12, 2012
Black brew with very little head. Has sweet fruitish smell with some alcohol. Taste is simular but with a very sweet chocolate maltiness to it and some hints of a banana flavor. The slight alcohol burn really goes well with this cold day. Hope the store has more because I want to save some for January when it gets really cold. marcus (10227) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with an attractive tan head and a roasted treacle and raisin aroma. Smells like it is barrel aged but it isn’t. There is a carbonated chocolate and dark molasses flavor with a dry finish. Don’t know how old this bottle is, but it tastes aged. A nice sipper.
