Bottle from Cavie. Orange pour with a big white head. Aroma is spicy, fruity, and hoppy. Taste is grassy, pleasant, and fruity.
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2014 Mine is from a 12 oz. bottle with the date printed right on the label; great sign! Signature Edition No. 15. Hop varietal is Ultra, not Herkules. Pours cloudy, golden-orange. This has a generous amount of particulates in it, likely hop residuals. It pours a nice, creamy head that sits on top for some time. The lacing is amazing after a couple of them due to the sticky hop resin. The smell is not enormous, however the hops do come through generously. For a pale ale it is more like an IPA in aroma. It is a rather one-dimensional hoppy aroma, but one can’t complain about that! It drinks very well. There is a bitter bite on the front and back end, the balance of malt is not there in the middle so don’t expect a heavy, balanced brew. This is not a sweet beer at all. This finishes dry, and with a nice citrus bitterness. The water Real Ale uses tastes like typical Texas Hill Country hard water, which I’ve found helps the dry, clean, refreshing, crisp, easy to swallow characteristics of Real Ale brews. The minerals in the water seem to come alive with the Ultra hop varietal. I think it is rated far below its true value, as it has all of the characteristics of a very good hopped up pale ale like Oskar’s Pale. This is a great brew, and any hop-head who likes IPAs will appreciate this one! TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Pours a straw yellow color with white head. Pine, citrus, grass, and some herbs on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with some citrus and bitterness. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Amberish straw, hazy, light to moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Grainy hop nose up front.   Lighter citrus & hop notes after that.   Similar tongue, moderate sweetness, but too much grainy
flavors for my taste.   Not enough hops, they are quite minor.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A bit more hoppy by the finish, sweetness and graininess die a little by this point.   Pretty pedestrian considering
whats available up here in Washington.   Lingering soily notes.   Thanks for the bottle Bill! dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - JUN 4, 2013
On tap at square burger, mckinney. Pours a rich copper with a thin white head. The aromas are light citrus, bread. The mouthfeel is dry, bitter and has a medium body with good carbonation. This is great for the style! Cheers! BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 21, 2013
On tap. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a medium sized white head that fades to a ring. Aromas are spicy and earthy, mildly fruity, and floral. Hop character is vaguely noble in the aroma. Flavors are sweet and quite bitter. Odd sort of burnt orange flavor. Grainy and grassy. Lightly bready. Not the most pleasant of hop flavors. Lively carbonation hides a slightly thin body.

Malt forward per style. Great, drinkable beer. Tastes like a robust esb to me. Better with spicy food. ozarkspops (368) - - FEB 24, 2013
Orange copper pour with fluffy white head. Lots of sediment. Very hoppy aroma. Lots if citrus. Lemons, orange, and grapefruit. Flavor is very similar to aroma. Very citrusy still. Little to no malt flavor. Pretty dry finish with lingering hop bitterness. Aroma is nice but flavors from the signature hop isn't as impressive.

Pours a decent cheddar orange with a nose of Texas wind: grapefruit rind with dusty Hill Country rock fruit notes. Flavor is grapefruit peach with a touch of biscuit syrup. Nice mouthfeel. Great beer.
Spicy, citrusy hops and sweet, honey-like malt aromatics are the first impression. Under the palate, it falls a little flat toward the end. Interesting hop profile, though.
