COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For this Brewers’ Cut release we present our take on an old and new world classic. Witbier is a traditional Belgian style brought back from the brink of extinction by a brewing legend and former Austinite. A subtle, yet flavorful ale, our Witbier is highlighted by its unique yeast character, unmalted wheat, and our house blend of herbs and spices.

Smooth, not too aggressive Belgian style white beer. Had a pale yellow color and finishes smooth.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy bright yellow with a lot of carbonation. Nose is mild with some spiciness and lemon. Taste is the same but rather mild and slightly acidic. Carbonation is a bit over the top. Fades a bit on the end. Not up to the Celis style unfortunately.

TizzleJizzle (792) - Garland, Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle. Poured an unfiltered, almost clear, yellow color with a thin white top and minimal lacing. Taste of lemon zest, yeast, spice, and clove. High carbonation, thin-medium watery body.

Pours clear gold with a foamy off-white head. Coriander, black pepper and lemony citrus are present but somewhat muted.

Pours a hazy yellow gold color. Smell is bubble gum and wheat. Taste is wheaty and rich with some light yeasty spiciness. Tastes a whole lot like live oak hefeweizen. Carbonation is spot on and nicely prickly and refreshing. Surprisingly delicious. I really enjoyed this and it’d be a fantastic summer wheat beer.

Bottle, clear golden pour with creamy foam, aroma is clove and citrus, very nice dry bodied wit with nice balance of clove and citrusy notes, not too sweet or cloying, good finish

sixer from the Butt Store .. . pours a light golden amber .. low head, foam .. . very spritzy .. . mild mouth .. . the taste is their but has nothing at all to hold it together .. . . oh no! its the bloodclot and the ham sandwich!!

2.7
Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - NOV 4, 2013
Belgian yeast, bubble gum, bananas and hints of spice and wheat comprise the nose. A hazy straw pour with a medium mostly deminishing white head and minimal ringed lacing. The taste is frustratingly more like a Hefewiessen than a Wit Beir. Belgian yeast, bubble gum, bananas and grain. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Soft mouthfeel. Overall, this was an enjoyable, drinkable beer, but it was not a wit, and therefore I’m giving it a lower score. So far, sadly, all the RABC’s have been disappointing and this is no exception. COME ON REAL ALE!
