Dark brown with a light tan head. Coffee and chocolate are mild but well balanced. This is a good drinker. Ron (4184) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 11, 2015
Bottle shared with Erica during football game. A dark body with a tan head and a medium amount of lacing. The aroma is mainly strong coffee with toasted malt and a small amount of chocolate and hops. The flavor is strong with coffee and malt with a bit of a sweet aftertaste and light mouth feel. BiiruBierBeer (1059) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2015
Smells of slight coffee and roast. Tastes like mild coffee with cream along with some notes that are almost like a lager and a slight bit of roast. Medium carbonation and medium body with some foam. Nothing great but it’s a solid brew and I give it credit for not tasting like bitter coffee grounds like a lot of coffee beers do. SHIG (4964) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - MAY 25, 2015
Bottle: Poured a burgundy edged brown with a tan head. Aroma is sweet malts, vanilla, and coffee. Taste is toffee malts, nutty, and coffee. texrx (41) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 7, 2015
Pour: dark brown w/ a very small tan head. Smell: malt, espresso, chocolate, very mild earthy hops & alcohol. Taste: malt, espresso, light chocolate, dark bread w/ a slightly herbal bitterness. Full bodied but not heavy and it’s easy 2 drink. Very nice! :)

Good coffee aroma. On tap at cottonwood. Very dark brown. Good tasting coffee beer m ZacM612 (804) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - DEC 27, 2014
Dark brown with a little tan head. Subtle aroma, a little chocolate and toffee. Coffee is more apparent in the taste and finish. Pretty good. vlan1 (220) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 15, 2014
Draft pint at holiday christmas party. Pours dark black with little head. Aroma of sweet coffee. Smooth coffee and dark roasty taste. Not very bitter or astringent with the coffee flavor which can be predominant in coffee beers. Clean rich mouthfeel with no sticky residue and no bitter coffee aftertaste. This stuff is legit. lownote (585) - Austin, Alabama, USA - DEC 5, 2014
Poured from cask into pintish glass. Aroma is surprisingly sweet. Mouthfeel is cask like with really gentle carbonation and moderately thick.... almost oily. Taste is very sweet and malty, a little roasted. Very enjoyable if simple. Namespayne (67) - - DEC 2, 2014
12 oz bottle in pint glass. No head. Pitch black, nothing happening much on the nose. Kinda like a toned town sweet stout with subtle notes of coffee and dark malts. Somewhat tasty... but I'm looking for a bit more complexity.
Sour and bitter finish that seems not in the beer but rather that the carbonation is not right.
Just short of the mark. Not quite sessionable but not really worth it to just drink one either if there are other available options.
