Tap at Petrol - clear straw, wimpy head. Aroma is woody, white grape, general fruit. Coriander and Belgian yeast flavor on the tongue. Falls flat in the finish.... Just dies in the throat. kevinator (2577) - The Colony, Texas, USA - DEC 31, 2015

Aroma: The nose has some oak/wood, pine, plenty of citrus, and a little vanilla as well
Appearance: This one pours an orange color with a small white head on it
Flavor: The taste is quite similar, pine/citrus hop flavors, with an oak/wood layover on it
Palate: The body of this one is medium-plus, it has a bit of heat, and a nice, dry finish
This one has a really cool barrel flavor to it, and I thought it worked nicely with the base beer. Well done.

A mature beer. What else do you want from me? Color? Clarity? Cindness? Its a good tasty imperial beer that you can drink a little bit of without getting sick. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 30, 2012
On tap at BTBF. Had forgotten what this was listed just as Empire IPA. Oak aged took me back for a second, but otherwise I was very pleasantly surprised. Pours with a hazed golden hue with a solid white head. Aroma is barrel, oak, really spicy wood, vanillin, and pretty hoppy with some citrus zest and citrus peel. Flavors are of melon, citrus, oak, spicy wood, vanillin and some decent tannins mixing with hop bitterness. Lively bubbles, dry, tasty!
