Bottle from the local H.E.B. Copper color with some mild head retention. Aroma is a nice amount of fruit and mild hints of spicy rye.

Flavor is a very nice balance of rye malt and nice fruity and floral hops. The balance is really nice here. Seriously, very nice medium body with a mild level of carbonation that gives a smooth texture. And with the 5.6 % it just flys down the throat. Nicely crafted.

Great standard rye IPA. Nothing anyone can ever be mad at you about. Great beer. Drinks well when hot or cold out. Not super hop forward, but just enough bite. Very pleasant and a great standard. - pixels sent via Beer Buddy on iOS

Wish Id kept a bottle of the old recipe to compare head-to-head. Lots of spicy rye in the aroma and taste. A bit more hoppy and bold than I remember.

Bottle from sampler 6 pack. Straight from the bottle. Aroma of sweetness from the hop and a bit of the bitterness. Initial notes are earthy notes of the rye intertwined with hop bitterness then lingers into bitterness then ends in sweet profile from the hop. Beautiful rye IPA. I think this recipe is better than the rye pale ale.

This is the updated IPA.... Deep copper poor, nice head and excellent lacing. Some earthy spiciness, sweet caramel on the nose. Not much hops. Taste is sweet caramel and slight spiciness. Not a hopheads IPA, thats for sure.

...and Coors has not sued yet?! Big head on amber. Hop aroma and ... maybe .... rye. Bigger body and flavor than just IPA. Rye gives it a little extra oomph. Strong hops, rye character and good body! YUM.

Pours a very light copper color with a thin head which disappears quickly.......aroma of very faint spice.....taste is rye spiciness, faint grainy astringency ending with a medium bittering. Quite tasty.

Appearance: has a small beige head that dissipates quickly, beer is a very hazy amber color" Aroma: very slight malt sweetness, pretty bland and very subtle Taste: slight malt sweetness, has a bitterness that kicks in after that, alcohol Palate: lively carbonation, bitter aftertaste, medium mouthfeel Overall: nothing stands out about this beer, its bitter, alcohol seems to be too prominent

Poured from bottle a slightly hazy amber with a small head. Aroma of barley. Crisp and full on the palette with hints of dough and biscuit. The end is fairly bitter and slightly dry. Excellent! My thanks to a good friend who brought this bottle directly from Texas to Europe for me to taste.
