Golden orange, with a thin ring of foam. Big floral hop aroma, with some honey-ish notes to go along with that. Tastes a little tart, then floral hop with some soodsy notes, then a big sweet caramel and honey finish. Very tasty stuff. BB 8/18/11. Thanks Secret Santa!

I poured a 12 oz bottle into a wineglass. This was a shockingly pleasant surprise, with an intensely juicy hop aroma that tended toward citrus matched with a sweet but firm malt profile. The body proved a bit lighter for an ipa, but thats a plus on 4th of July weekend in Texas. All in all, this is a welcome addition to the Austin-area beer roster, and a local alternative to Dales in a can for your Independent Day festivities.

On tap at the Ginger Man in downtown Austin, TX. Hazy amber under a tall off-white head with a nice sheen of lacing. Citrusy aroma. Plenty of floral notes with toasted cereal, a touch of coffee, grapefruit and a hint of apple. Smooth satisfying texture and a dry finish with a nice citrusy, hoppy final kick. Well balanced and well worth a try if youre in the Lone Star State.

Courtesy of markwise. Pours deep near clear gold with thin off white head. The aroma has some sharp citrus notes, brown sugary sweetness, dustiness, lime and grapefruit pith. The taste has some bitter sharp citrus hops that move into some grapefruit and lime like flavors. Behind the hops are notes of sweet malts and a touch of grainy malts. Nice IPA

Thanks to ericandersnavy for this bottle. Pours amber gold with a creamy/bubbly near-white head. Aroma is roast caramel and floral. Med body. Flavor is unusually fruity. Almost tropical in some ways, citrus in others. This is quite an original.

Poured into a pint glass. Thanks to twiggamortis420 for this. Best by date is 8/5/11. 4.0 A: Hazed dark yellow color. Two fingers of mainly frothy, but somewhat creamy off-white head with average retention and a good bit of lacing. 4.0 S: Mix of piney, citrusy, and floral hops, though even in combination, the whole doesnt approach West Coast levels. Strongest aromas are pine, grapefruit, orange, mango, flowers and a ton of pineapple. Despite being bottle conditioned, the yeast component is minimal as this is pretty clean overall. Malts are slightly bready. 3.5 T: Moderate bitterness. Hops are earthier than the nose suggests, but there is still a decent pine, grapefruit, and orange component with just a hint of pineapple. Yeast comes into play much stronger and combines with the malts to form a moderate breadiness. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Could be a bit creamier. Lightly chewy. 3.5 D: Not a bad beer, but nothing too special either. Good all around. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-12-2011 22:19:52

Solid alpha style IPA. Nose is grapefruit, piney with hazy golden-orange pour; taste nice blend of malt and hops, still heavy on the alpha but still well balanced and pleasant
