Black pour with a thin fading off white head. Gigantic nose with loads of bourbon and sugary vanilla oak. Flavor has loads of bourbon and sticky dark roast malt, a bit of molasses, loads of charred oak, touch of coffee, dark earthy sweet malt and more bourbon.

Tap at Zios. Pours very dark brown color edging on black. Light ring of head. Aroma is quite woody and bourbon. Dark malts and fresh oak shavings. Flavor is woody, bourbon, vanilla, sweet notes and more. This is nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Aroma is bourbon... And more bourbon. Appearance is black with little head. Taste starts off towards dark fruit then turns to straight bourbon. Palate is vanilla, cause of all the bourbon. Overall, this is a weak bourbon. That is about it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 16, 2013
On tap at the Moth. Pours with a black hued body and tan head. Aromas of whiskey, Jack Daniels-esque (as opposed to a richer bourbon character), currants, plums, dark fruits, wood. A bit of sharp tannin, cola. Flavors are a touch watery and thin. Big bourbon, roasted, nutty, walnuts and cola with a dark fruit/stewed prune character. Medium carbonation, somewhat low in body.

angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Tap at the Meddlesome Moth, courtesy of bman1113vr. Dark ruby pour. Nose is vanilla, oak, bourbon, fantastic nose, very complex.... leather, coffee, earth. Flavor is tannic, oak, bourbon, vanilla, caramel. Tons of bourbon barrel on this, really solid! The mouthfeel is a bit disappointing, as it’s a bit watery.
