Really good. Like Sisyphus with a slightly Lowe hop profile with oak sweetness and booze. M15ter (60) - - MAY 24, 2016
Caramel, honey, and butterscotch aromas.
Golden and hazy with a light tan head.
Malty, sugary sweetness throughout with a slight alcohol finish.
Honey, wood, and alcohol flavors.

Deep reddish amber with an off-white head. Aroma of sour cherry and other fruits, wood, vanilla, and caramel. Taste is woody, boozy, bitter, and a little sweet. Medium full bodied. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 8, 2014
Pours a cloudy dark amber color with off-white head. Oak, vanilla, dark fruits, and sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a sweet-tart note.

On draught at Hay Merchant. Pours a clear dark copper color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of oak, dark fruit and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of raisins, oaky vanilla and dark malts. The finish is mildly boozy with a rich malt and fruit aftertaste. Pretty good all around. 2010 Karen at Real Ale 18 th Anniversary - Aroma of Brett and a nice hop bitterness. Pouts a cloudy amber with a lasting white head and nice lacing. The taste is Brett, floral notes, caramel citrus, pine and resin. Medium body and medium crisp carbonation. Overall, mildly sour hoppy brew. Well done Real Ale. Tero (46) - FINLAND - NOV 1, 2013
Caramel, bread, toast, raisin, red, lightly sour, light sweetness, full body, flat, long finish. Something weird that I truly loved in this beer. Just can’t describe it. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Hand bottle, shared by jstax. Clear orange red color. Thin khaki head. GOod bits of lace. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Big sweet taste. Some alcohol warmth in the finish. Bigger, spicy whiskey barrel aroma. Some caramel malt, and fruity hop. A little boozy, a bit aggressive... Drinks like 13.5% I’d guess... But a tasty, barrel-y barleywine to sip on. Long whiskey heat in the finish. JStax (7163) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Hand bottle thanks to errl. Pours a copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma is herbal and grassy with some nice barrel notes. Taste is sweet and very malt forward. Tastes better than it smells, but it’s all around very nice. I’m surprised at how hoppy this beer has stayed throughout the barreling process.
