A classic robust porter brewed with freshly grilled sugar pumpkins. We up the ante with fresh cinnamon sticks, whole nutmeg, and cloves in the boil, resulting in a roasty, spicy fall brew.

Aroma of smoke, phenol and a hint of pumpkin spice. Pours a dark brown no head. A smooth pumpkin spice taste with a hint of chocolate. Medium body with a pumpkin spice finish.

Draft at the brewery. Bit thinner than I’d expect for something in this style. It drank with an odd "leathery" flavor profile. (#5389, 12/7/2013)

11/23/2013. On tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Spicy aromas with the pumpkin showing through very well. Roasted malt, chocolate as well. Sweet fruity flavors with hoppy bitterness. Very good seasonal beer.

Draft at the source. Brown color, light tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds and subtle spice. Spice is also subtle enough in the taste, mostly cinnamon and nutmeg. This has the two chatacteristics of a good pumpkin beer, imho - dark mslts and subtlety.

5800th rating! Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of pumpkin spice, pumpkin, bubblegum, cinnamon. The taste is pumpkin, pumpkin spices, roasted malts and earthy notes. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Cask at Rustico Alexandria. First beer I’ve had from this particular brewery, and I was quite impressed with this one. Poured a dark opaque brown/black color with a small off-white head. Aroma was roasted malts, with some pumpkin character, nutmeg is there and cinnamon is subtle. Not picking up too much clove, which is usually a plus for me. Nice and rich mouthfeel to this one, even for a cask which often can come across a bit weak. Will keep my eye out in the future for this one.

Growler from the brewery. Black pour with a tall, mocha colored head. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, soft clove, pumpkin pie mix and roasted malt. Taste is light clove, cinnamon, light nutmeg, light pumpkin notes, sweet malt, roasted malt and burnt caramel. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more pumpkin notes, roasted malt, light cinnamon, faint clove, nutmeg and dark chocolate.
