Draft at the source. This one is pretty much on style, similar to the altbier I’d have in Germany. Body is a bit light. Drake (14107) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear rust color with a large creamy offwhite head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee, apples, cinnamon, toasted malts and faint hops. The taste is toffee, toasted malts and spice. Medium bodied. Nice. shrubber85 (11666) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Draft. Toffee malt and hay aroma. Amber with moderate head. Lightly smokey toffee malt and hay flavor. Mildly bitter finish. Light but nice flavor. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Tap at the brewery. Pours a Hazy deeper orange. Pillowy white foam. Good lace. Nose is lacto, big Berliner Weisse nose. Probably infected after they brewed their actual Berliner Weisse. Cherry Berliner seems to be the nose. Taste is drained, minerally, small butter, soap, paper. Decent though infected. Radek Kliber (7487) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - AUG 8, 2013

The keg was fresh hence its appearance. Poured as cloudy dark amber with lighter cap.
Aroma was milder but proper with gentle Noble hop feel. Slight tint of citrus. Felt clean.
Taste: same as in aroma. Clean offering. Poured a bit cold so I took some time to warm it up. Still felt tad milder than other Alts yet it was within style vibe. Very gentle malty notes with mild hop bittering effect. Drinkable.
From a growler. Dark copper pour with a short, foamy tan head. Aroma is caramel, light spicy hops, sweet malt, soft grass and light toffee. Taste is big caramel, sweet malt, dark bready notes, soft, spicy hops, light grass and toffee notes. Body is medium with a dense, prickly carbonation. Ends with more caramel, toffee notes, chewy malt, soft bread, spicy hops, soft dark fruit notes and faint grassiness. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - OCT 20, 2014
On draft at a random hotel beach bar at VA Beach. Advertised incorrectly as a pils. Sigh… Poured a light clear amber, OK head. Aroma was lightly malty with some grassy hops. Flavor matched. Distinctly off sour note on the finish. Not sure if this was because the keg had been around a long time on bad tap lines, or if something was going wacky with the beer itself, but the ultimate experience was disappointing. Too bad. Tap at the brewery. Poured redbrown with sweet and sugary, malty notes. Caramel and toffee flavors. Semi-sweet finish. Luvystypotables (2080) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Minimal aroma of malt, caramel color with a balanced taste of malt and a trace of hazelnut. Watery feel and no palate.
