Bottle. Average beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Clear sparkling body with a dark mahogany color. Aroma of toasted malt, butter, caramel, soft brown sugar. The sniff lives the impression of a week Malt beer. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor with light bitter notes. Light sweet finish. Quit nice. thenick (766) - North Bellmore, New York, USA - JUL 22, 2007
Bottle from Peculier Pub, NYC. Pours a deep reddish-brown to almost black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt with slight other characteristics. Flavor is roasted malt up front dissolving into hop, chocolate, and caramel notes in the end. Not bad, but not spectacular either. Quack-Duck (9533) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 16, 2007
Bottle, bought at Pivni Galerie. Very dark colour, small head. Nose: roasted malt and caramel. Full-bodied, malty flavour with intensive flavours of caramel, roasted malt and also minimal coffee flavours. Dedollewaitor (16382) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 8, 2007
Dark brown with creamy brown head. Malty caramel (slight sweet) & roasted nose. Coffee & caramel taste. OK medium body. Very nice bitter finish. Pleasant & drinkable Czeck dunkel! dornoy (701) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 26, 2007
Light brown head on a dark brown body. Very roasted and bitter. I have never been a fan of dunkels, and this is a good example.

Bottle. Very deep thick dark brown colour with a bubbly and creamy light brown head. Sweet aroma of chocolate, roasted malts and some bitter hops. Flavour is caramellic and quite roasty, bitter, chocolate and some coffee, little metal. Bitter-sweet aftertaste with caramel and choco notes. flemmingwillum (1233) - Nysted, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2009 Perfect appearance for a dunkel! The beer is completely opague red/brown and has an incredibly dense head in the precisely correct amount, and it lasts in a very long time. The aroma, however, is not very impressive. It has nice touches of caramel malts and sweetness in general, but is not very obvious. The flavor is very nice, with it’s obvious malty and sweet taste with notes of smoke, and a nice bitterness in the finish. The beer seems medium bodied the most of the time, but i can seem a little thin sometimes. However, this is still a very nice beer. Borup (15320) - Albertslund, DENMARK - NOV 13, 2006
