Bottled (BB 06/2008)
Very dark ruby-brown color, good cloudy beige/brownish cloudy head, some lace. Ash, toasted and caramelly malts, also same unclean notes than in another Czech dunkel - 1795 Budejovické Pivo. Flavor starts very sweet, caramelly with brown sugar and even chocolaty notes. Then later some hops, roasty flavors and metallic hints in the aftertaste. Also in the flavor is same unclean feeling than in the nose (unclean I like drinking beer from unclean tap).

Bottle. It pours a clear, reddish brown body with a small, beige head. Quite cute-looking. The aroma has some coffee, as well as dried fruits, and some sweetness. Quite sweet in the mouth, medium fullness, with dried fruits and a little fruityness. Dried fruits and sweetness in the finish. A rather boring dunkel. It’s sessionable, but a boring. (080528)

Dark brown with creamy brown head. Malty caramel (slight sweet) & roasted nose. Coffee & caramel taste. OK medium body. Very nice bitter finish. Pleasant & drinkable Czeck dunkel!

FatPhil (15965) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 11, 2007
500ml bottle. Almost black, large frothy beige head. Slightly sweet and metallic aroma. A bit thin in the mouth - sugars and a bitter burntness that becomes metallic. Can’t put my finger on it, but something was missing. Quite gluggable though.

MiP (15650) - Sřnderborg, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2005
Bottle. A little marcipan aroma. Very dark brown/chestnut colour. Small creamy head, light brown. Malty flavour, a little sweet and toasted. IMHO a little too sweet. Aftertaste slightly toasted.
