COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Penryn Pale Ale is our take on a classic IPA. it has a fruity and hoppy nose with hints of peach and lemongrass, leaving a nice mellow bitterness on the tongue.

Beautiful, traditional English pale ale with the right amount of hops. Very malty without being too heavy. I find that a lot of English pale ales are very tasteless and bland but this is perfect; a very enjoyable brew. Quick shout out to my parents for bringing me a few bottles back from their recent Cornish trip.

Cask at the only pub in Perranuthnoe in Cornwall, whose name I forget. Some nice grassy hop but also too much veg and felt quite flat and lifeless. Maybe just something about the condition but I didn’t particularly enjoy this one.

Draught (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2016)
Watery, some minerals, in the aroma. Palate is a bit harsh and chalky. Pale, small loose head. Nice walnutty finish makes up for some of the minerals, but it’s too dry and chalky.

[email protected] Goldenbit stale, old malty nose. Some honey, meadowy. Light feel, easy bit thin. Finishes a bit dusty.

(Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2016) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had earth, mildly cellar and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A decent pale ale.
