500ml bottle as Imported Czech Beer 4.4 % abv, thanks to djoeye. Two-finger sized head reduced to a patchy surface. Bright dark golden body. Spotty lacework to the glass. Sweet pale malty aroma, hints of caramel. Taste of grainy and buttery malts. Vague hints of cardborad. Notes of malt bitterness to the ending. Soft to lively carbonated. Medium to thin bodied. Drinkable and half-way food friendly (Tromsø, 15.06.2014).

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2014 "Rebel Imported Czech Beer 4.4%" : Aroma; spicy hops, malts, bread, wort, herbs, faint hint of butyric. Bright pearl white small head diminishes, clear medium golden body. Taste; malts, hops and grains, bread, wort, grass, notes of butter stuff, faint hint of caramel elements, tiny butterscotch. Pearly-grainy to palate, easy to drink. Distinct carbonation. Finishes to the caramel-toffee side with some pearling hops under, making a bittersweet touch to it. Overall nice to drink, a little organic spicy feel from this pilsener, good beer, and czech style is present. 1/2L btl 4.4% bbf15July2014 [email protected] Mooonyo, [email protected] Norway.

500ml bottle from supermarket in Kotka, labelled as "Rebel Czech beer", abv 4.4%. Clear darkish yellow colour, large mostly lasting frothy white head, fair lacing. Aroma of hay, floral hops, butter and light bread. Taste is initially bittersweet and moderately acidic, turning into a fairly long moderately bitter and astringent finish with some sweetness and acidity remaining. Medium body, dry mouthfeel that tuns watery when the carbonation decreases, lively carbonation. Otherwise a not very interesting albeit decent Czech pils, but the finish was actually one of the better ones I’ve come across in a while and only in a handful of pilsners ever.

Bottle to pint. Looks decent; a transparent gold with foamy white head and lively carbonation. Smells doughy and unaversively skunky with mild hop notes. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Better than its mean indicates IMO.

Highly disappointing. I made two mistakes: One, I bought this beer. Two, I saved it for my last beer of the evening. Recommended you avoid this brew.

inbirraveritas (1622) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 24, 2013
On tap. Clear golden colour, fine pored white head. Easy malty aroma ruled by honey underpainted by grassy hops. Rather malty finish, too, escorted by mild hops. Easy one.
