Cask; Seasonal - September to November. Also available filtered in bottle.
This premium ale reflects the colour and intensity of Autumn. Its deep reddish hue derives from the addition of crystal malt in the grist. The flavour is predominantly malty with a subtle late hop character.

Cimbasso (889) - - NOV 26, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2015 Sampled as Marlow Rebellion Red in a 50cl bottle from Waitrose. Chestnut brown with a slightly reddish tinge. Quickly fading white head. Malty aromas, and the taste is nutty and with notes of toffee. Quite pronounced red berry flavours. Very pleasant and not too overtly sweet. Not much bitterness either, but there is some hop taste present. This is a very pleasant, well-made fruity-tasting beer. High drinkability. Sampled again in October 1015. I find this beer a little bland this time around. The mouthfeel is much better than some reds, but it still a little thin. Re-rated from 3.4 down to 3,2.
