Dedollewaitor (16762) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 27, 2017
Draught @ Brewery. Pours clear amber with a White head. Caramel, bread and Grassy hops. Quite bitter with an herbal and Very clean touch overall. Soft and delicate. Impressive! A long time want scratched Off the want list and it didnt disappoint.

MartinT (10240) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 20, 2017
My Bottom Line:
Apricots and mild caramel converge on this easygoing, quenching Landbier.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the hazy amber.
-The ‘Dunkel’ in this one is quite restrained. It’s more of a Landbier (there is no toastiness at all, for example).
-Hop fruitiness is also remisnicent of orange zest (although delicate).
-Drinkability is high, but hop bitterness might be lacking for me to truly want to come back for a second pint.

On tap at the brewery pub.

(Bierwanderung HB 8, 3.9.2016.)

Frankenfest 2016, Rome. Robust clear copper, creamy white head. Malty sweet banana. Cool, sharp acidic dark malt. Bitter malting character. nice Frankonian. Robust, sharp, nice.

Mortlach (2539) - Rome, ITALY - MAY 14, 2016
On tap @FrankenBierFest (Rome). Pours pale amber with a medium to little head. Aroma of bread crust, corn, chestnut, honey. Flavour is balanced, malty (caramel) with a decent bitter end. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. Nothing special.

ippopotamo36 (2759) - Rome, ITALY - APR 16, 2016
At Franken fest in Rome - Italy. Caramel clear pour. Little off white head. Nose: a bit smoky, bread crust. Mouth: water body, some roasted malts, some crispness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Leggermente piu chiara delle dunkel classica, equilibrio BU/GU, luppoli nobili tedeschi in equilibrio alle note del malto di miele scuro, crosta di pane, nocciola e in lontananza caffè.

Erzengel (10257) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 6, 2014
Rating from 2009. Schade. 8/12/7/7

TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - SEP 22, 2014
Draft at the brewpub in Aug. 2014: Ruddy orange. Nonuniform pasty eggshell head. Malty aromas of cookie, nougat, caramel and a hint of melanoidin and plum skin. Prickly carbonation. Softly malty with a springy pecan vibrancy accompanying sweet poundcake flavors. Lush pils malt accentuates the rich malt with well-textured hay notes. Vague nip of minerals doesn’t offer a whole lot of brightness or help to counterbalance the gradually intensifying sugariness. Spalt-derived acids sizzle slightly and generate a short-lived brightness, but eventually succumb to the omnipresent caramel. Hint of spent tea-leaf hop notes add some astringency as they find their way into the mix. Finishes sweetly caramelly with faint breadcrust sharpness along with limp malt and damp hay. A fairly one-dimensionally malty rendition and overly sweet, but there’s definitely some intriguing depth and enough melanoidin character to hold your interest. Way too gassy as is...sorely needs some natural carbonation to help distribute these soft malts. Shows a lot of potential.

downender (9169) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2014
At the Bad Staffelstein Bierfest, 15 August 2014. Deep amber with a frothy, off-white head. Sweetish caramel notes, some bready malts with a slightly toasty edge, leading to a soft finish. Enjoyable.
