Appearance: Bright red beer, natural pink head, fine pearling. Smell: The wheat of this beer mingles with the natural fruity flavours of the four red fruits that make it up: cherry, strawberry, plum and blackcurrant. Taste: Once again, we find the taste of the blend of the four red fruits and one of the best wheat beers on the market, in a perfect balance of sweet and souness.

Bottle. Reddish-pink, misty, pinkish foam. Aroma: sweet, elderberry and cherry, sweet candy. Taste: elderberry, cherries, lollipops and citric acid, very sweet.

Ruby red. Cloudy. Tall rocky pink head. Aroma of starchy cherries in a wheat base. Light body. Oily. Sweet fruity starchy taste. Spicy yeast behind it. Low bitterness. Not spectacular at all. But I love cheries. What can I do?

At Bruges Beer Fest. Pours clear and red with an amber hue and a thin pink head. The aroma of cherry, strawberry, plum and blackcurrant combined is apparent and delicate. Contains a hint of Blanche de Namur with wheat, but sugar too. Tastes medium to heavy sweet. Light bitter and wheaty in the finish - not necessarily dry. Sticky texture. A heavier body could have invigorated the aroma. Very tasty.

Bottle. Cherries, candies, elderflower and marshmellows. Cherries dominate and the beer is excessively sweet, which resembles cough syrup. However, if not for the sweetness, it might have been genuinely tasty.

Bottle from Sugaya. Thick cherry nose. Hazy pink-tinged peach color, thin head, some lace. Cherryies, berries, sugar, with a gentle dry finish. Light body, tingly carbonation. Not so bad. Not very beer-like, but fairly tasty.

Sweet cherry beer (well, cherry, strawberry, plum and blackcurrant) based on Blanche de Namur. Aroma and taste of the basic beer, however, are completely overshadowed by a very sweet, artificial, sugary, cloying fruit candy taste not unlike grenadine or water ice, which leaves no room for anything else. Looks nice, with a bright and fierce cherry red under a lilac head, but I’ll never learn to appreciate these sickly sweet witbier-based design fruit beers.

Een lekker verfrissend fruitbiertje dat vooral lekker is tijdens warme zomerdagen.

from [email protected]ête de la châtaigne - cloudy reddish-brown beer under a solid and long lasting pinkish-beige head; aroma of red fruits chewing-gum and sweeteners; fizzy and hugely sweet, light sticky, juicy and perfumy finish; lot of residual sweetness and more bubblegum-like notes

edsspoon (905) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 1, 2014
Bottle - pours light ruby red with a light pin head. Aroma of sherbet, strawberry and a hint of malt. Taste is wheat, straw, blackcurrant and strawberries with some raspberry emerging later on and a very sweet, lightly bitter and slightly toasty finish. Light body with strong carbonation.
