Copper body with minimal beige head. Aroma is mild sweet, nutty, light caramel, roasty. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, some roasty, light caramel. Watery finish detracts from the otherwise solid flavor. Medium body. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 2, 2009

on tap-pours a light tan head with bubbles and brown color. Aroma is smoky, medium malt. Taste is smoky, medium malt-molasses/caramel, nutty, secondary slightly bitter hops. OK/mild carbonation. Not quite my style but nice. shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAR 11, 2006
Bottle. Sweet butterscotch malt aroma. Cloudy reddish brown color with small head. Slightly sweet butterscotch malt flavor but not nearly as sweet as the aroma would lead you to expect. Very light hops finish with smooth buttery aftertaste. A interesting brown ale - I really enjoyed it - but as the other ratings state - if you don’t like butterscotch - avoid this beer. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 25, 2009
Bottle. I do believe I got this while in Atlanta last year. An amber/brown pour. Small light tan head. Aroma is very benign with some light nutiness and malts. Flavor has caramel, nuts, and a light finish of floral hops. Ok. hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 28, 2010
Bottle… Hazy, burnt orange ale with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The nutty, malty bouquet supplies biscuit, cream soda and toasty, chocolaty notes. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with stinging carbonation. Although malt-forward, chocolaty and nutty, the flavor is well-balanced. Finishes crisp and lightly bitter. Thanks to beeryum for this one. Pours a nice deep copper shade with medium white head. Aroma of caramel malt, spices, some hopcit. Tastes malty, with some fruit, brown sugar, hops, and spice. It all doesn’t quite seem to jive on the tongue, but the underlying complexity and quality still comes through. Solid.
