Clear amber with a fast-fading head. Nose smells leafy and a wee bit resinous with a small sweetness behind it. The flavor is strongly hopped with some leafy and grassy bitterness, a little pine, finishing with an amberish caramel tone. A little heavy on the leafy resin, otherwise kinda average and forgettable. Frankly, a little on the tame side, especially toward the end of the glass.

Can from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. Some grassy hops, tangerine and pineapple fruits, suggestion of pine, and crisp balancing malts, before a dry, hoppy finish. Good.

2/21/12. 12oz bottle. Hazy orange pour - under the light theres a ton of particulates floating about, all under a small khaki head. Surprisingly decent hop aroma - earthy and piney with touches of citrus. The flavor is much the same - Im getting plenty of pine/juniper that lingers with pale malts, almost pilsner-like, and some caramel sweetness. I have to say - not terrible!

lusikka (7793) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 8, 2014
355 ml bottle. Thanks rosenbergh. Pours a reddish amber colour with a small thick head. Aroma of sweet caramel, strong gooseberry bush notes and herbs. Flavour of caramel malts, herbal notes, grains, berries, grassy bitterness and orange. Medium bodied. A bit harsh mouthfeel and a strong, bitter, juicy finish. A bit weird.

PorterPounder (7687) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Murky dark orange pour, sticky off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma has some nice patented spruce notes with a hint of citrus. Flavor is bittersweet with nice citrusy grapefruit and some passion fruit essence. Malty, nutty back end to balance it out. Smooth, somewhat thick mouthfeel. Pretty decent.

Bottled 355ml. -at OHara Zagreb. Clear golden coloured, small white head, caramel and touch of fruits in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, grapefruity, citrusy/piney hoppy, notes of alcohol and touch of wood in the finish. Pleasant one but rather ordinary concidering ABV. 6.2%

Bottle from Total Wine, Naples. The pours amber with a tiny head. Plenty of dandruff and floaties in the glass. The nose is full of caramel, sweetened orange peel, toast. The taste is more caramel, a bit of unripened melon. Moderately grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Overall, a pretty middle of the road IPA.

12 ounce bottle from Ale Yeah. Starts with a nice aroma of hops and resin then is followed by too much toffee caramel for the IPA I like.
