Comes out of the tap an opaque, cloudy honey golden with a fairly thick pale honey head. In fact, it looks a lot like honey, real honey fresh from the hive. Hoppy aroma has a sweet honey-like overtone and a nice evergreen note. Flavor - woo wee, seriously hoppy, very evergreen, with a sweet undertone and just a little bitterness. Full-bodied texture is quite rough and fizzy, leaving behind a hoppy, tingly, slightly honey-sweet finish. Recommended! KnowThyBeer (26) - Wilmington, North Carolina, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Gorgeous citrus and pine aromas. Pours a fantastic amber color in the pint glass. Immediately, the drop hops are present to the roof of the mouth. Medium carbonation in play which develops a silky, approachable taste for this IPA. The finish is long and lasting with loads of grass and spruce flavors. Bottle. Pours a hazy, slightly cloudy medium copper with a lasting white head. Aroma is a mixture of citrus and floral hops. Flavor is packed with hops. Slightly astringent but not overly bitter. The citrus bite from the hops really comes through in each sip. A very nice example of the style. Would pair well with spicy Mexican or southwest dishes.
Rating #600: I had to pick a local brew for this milestone. nathan30533 (1020) - Clifton, Ohio, USA - MAR 19, 2015
Great tasting ipa. This brew is a great hop balance. Good overall welcoming brew for the first ipa drinker as well.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Has the basic hops and malt aroma, not bad but nothing out of the ordinary.
Appearance - The beer is a beautiful copper color.
Taste - Has a nice caramel flavor that combines with the malt nicely.
Palate - A light bodied beer with heavy carbonation.
Overall- I like this beer. a very tasty IPA Braudog (6803) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 26, 2012
Bottle at the Savannah Mellow Mushroom. Pours with a thick, mushy consistency. Has an opaque rust color and a firm standing head. Drinks with a thick orange malt essence and a nice alcoholic kick. Not bad for a Southern brew ... definitely a sipper. (#4706, 7/24/2012) firemarshal (206) - North Carolina, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Bottle into shaker. Aroma is caramel, nuts, floral, citrus, and a hint of cinnamon. Nice thick head with lingering lace. Transparent amber-orange in color with plenty of carbonation swirling in the glass. Flavor comes in several waves. Piney, then malty, then cinnamon-sugar, then hoppy bitter finish. Nice ride. This is a full bodied beer, lively on the tongue, and a long bitter finish. Well made. ronaldtheriot (1978) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Red Brick HopLanta has a medium, off-white head, a hazy, orange appearance with lots of bubble streams (etched glass), some lacing left behind, and an enormous amount of fairly big, light gray chunks suspended throughout. The aroma is of full, sweet, citrus and white bread, and the flavor is of the same, with a heafty piney bitterness across the sip. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Red Brick HopLanta finishes semi-dry, sweet, tasty, and easy drinking. Overall, this is really nice. RJT aleichter (31) - - JAN 1, 2014
Not overwhelmingly hoppy but still has a great hoppy aroma. Definitely a drinkable IPA. I would like to find this beer again.
