One of my favorites from this brewery. Full bodied and good for the autumn / winter season. Poured from a bottle. Could have slightly more carbonation... Slightly..
I like this beer and have purchased it multiple times and will continue to do so. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - SEP 25, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a small tan head on it. Nose is sweet and caramel with some chocolate in there. Taste has some roasting in it, but has a lot of sweetness in the finish without much else to balance it out. Not a great example of a porter. chinchill (5069) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 7, 2013
Served in a Laughing Skull pint glass at the brewery.
Relatively lively carbonation for a porter, yet smooth. Medium+ body.
Very dark reddish brown. Clear, with a thin tan head that rapidly reduces to a lasting ring. Quite nice looking but a bit light and red for a porter.
Aroma: Lots of dark malt and coffee with just a hint of spicy hops.
Taste follows nose, although the coffee is less pronounced until the finish. Some dark chocolate too.
Good flavor and aroma, easy to drink, but lacking complexity and depth.

Pours a very dark brown with a tan head, smells of chocolate, earthy and smoky. Taste very much like it smells and very pleasant mouthfeel, great beer shame it only comes in 4 packs DialSquare (5062) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 23, 2013

From a bottle. Pours black with a thin light head. Tastes like burnt, smokey coffee. Smells like like coffee beans and spices. Medium body and medium carbonation. italianjohn (3163) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Deep amber/brown pour with thin off white head and light sticky lacing ... aroma of roasted, caramel and chocolate malts .... taste is chocolatey with a nice caramel and lightly roasted malt .... nice balanced flavors ... mouthfeel is a little slick and body isn’t too thin for a porter .... finishes dry and malty .... nice easy drinking porter abv hidden very well
