03-JUN-2012, bottle @Papsø tasting.
Dark, dark brown with low tan head.
Fruity nose, dark malts, a little roast. Very faint smoke.
Overwhelming vanilla taste. Really too much.
Perhaps a little smoke. Some tartness - infected?
More and more roasted and porter-like as it warms. Strange. Ungstrup (38248) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2012
Bottled. A dark brown beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of smoke, whiskey, roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of vanilla, smoke, whiskey, and caramel, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. yespr (47101) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2012
12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and light caramelish. Vanilla, roasted malty and citric sour. Smoked and light tarish. Vanilla and citric finish. Very strange, yet not offensive. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2012
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear orangey brown with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma has roast, subtle oak and even subtler smoke. Medium body, the lactic acidity hits you straight away revealing that this clearly suffers from a bad infection. Same notes as in the aroma are here: roast, ashes smoke and oak with a vanilla whiff, it’s just all overpowered by the sourness. Ends dryish and ashy. Shame. 030612 burg326 (5596) - Florida, USA - MAY 31, 2012
12 ounce bottle, pours a dark brown, aromas of chocolate, vanilla, some oak, light smoke, and light booze. Flavors are the same, blended nicely, not overly sweet, and a little thin for me to be a porter.

Bottle. Medium brown, light looking, no head. Aroma is smoky with some fruit. Taste is of rank fruit... Something must have gone wrong with this bottle or batch. For me, a drain pour. HonusWagner (2218) - Florida, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Very underwhelming, thin-bodied with little of the smoke or vanilla I’d expect from a beer with "smoked vanilla" in the name. I mean, it could definitely use a flavor infusion. m4rest88 (390) - Beverly Hills, California, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Bottle bought at a liquor store in brentwood tennessee. Pours a black cloudy hue with a large light brown head that is mostly diminishing.
Aroma of vanilla beans, chocolate, with hints of dark fruits alcohol and coffee.
Aroma is slightly astringent with hints of tartiness weirdly enough. Coffee and chocolate notes are also present.
Medium mouthfeel with light carbonation AR (1002) - Georgia, USA - APR 30, 2012
Somewhat sweet, similar to a milk chocolate flavor that is mixed with a smoky peat. There is also a little fruitiness, sort of a grape taste, that is also present. Medium body. BeeriedEyed (211) - USA - APR 25, 2012
Awesome porter right here. Definitely has smoke up in the flavor. Small hint of vanilla maple and whiskey.
