Pours opaque coffee brown with a thin but serviceable light tan head. Aroma presents roast malt, vanilla and woody tones. Vanilla is the main player in the flavor, but gladly shares the spotlight with roast malt, smoky, woody and subtle hoppy tones. Mouthfeel presents firm, viscous body and good fizz. Go for this gorilla!

On draught at WOB. Dark brown with a light kahki layer of foam. Smoky aroma with notes of Jack Daniels, vanilla, smoke, oak. Body is a bit oily and slick with a bit of heat at the end. Flavor dominated by smoke, coffee and whiskey. Overall pretty decent.

on tap at The Brick Store on 10/16/10. arrived to the table in a snifter glass. light black color with a firm 1/4" off white head. bourbon nose with light notes of chocolate and dark malts. extremely smooth body with lots of bourbon notes throughout and layers of vanilla. less bourbon on the finish with some bitterness, oak and light citrus notes. the body thins out too much as well on the end. would like a stronger bourbon nose and a stronger finish, but overall Vanilla Gorilla is a very enjoyable barrel aged porter from Atlanta Brewing Co.
