Pours a deep, warm, opaque sable with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled tan head. Smoky aroma has a firm overtone of semi-sweet chocolate and more than a hint of vanilla, plus hints of caramel and quality coffee. Flavor - oo la la, like drinking a Hershey bar with Irish coffee! Strongly chocolaty, plus coffee, roast malt, caramel, vanilla, hints of licorice and woody hops. Absolutely lip-smacking. Firm texture has plenty of fizz and life. Where does a vanilla gorilla drink beer? Anywhere he (or she) wants to! :D

16 oz. can. Thanks, Tim! Pours black, with a big, frothy, tan head. The aroma is light coffee, vanilla, molasses, bark, and a bit of smoke. Sweet and lightly bitter. Medium to heavy body, with a sticky, syrupy mouthfeel. Mellow, sweet, and easy.

Like drinking a glass of chocolate milk. No surprise, tastes lightly of vanilla, but avoids being artificial or overpowering. Creamy without being thick and syrupy. Smells milky. Missing a layer of depth to tie it all together, but otherwise nice.

true to the name it does pack a lot more vanilla than most porters, meant as a plus here, bod is lo to medium, a hint of bitter/hops but mostly a dessert beer, not bad tho

Pours up dark cola black with a thin khaki head and nice lacing. Aroma is heavy vanilla, some oat and coffee. Taste is dark roasted malts, and coffee, with a lot of vanilla. Maybe a little too much vanilla for me, Overall, still a good porter.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark brown color with a large tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and some vanilla. The taste follows the nose. This is my favorite Red Brick offering.

Smooth chocolate and vanilla beer. Fairly roasty. the flavor doesn’t pop especially, but solid big vanilla beer.

Pours dark red-brown with a tan head. Nose is roasted malts and coffee with just a pinch of vanilla. Flavor is rich on chocolate and vanilla but quickly thins to a watery coffee finish. Alcohol is well hidden.
