Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. POurs a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a notes of grains and biscuit with a bit of sweetness. Flavor is similar with a combination of sweet grains and biscuits. arkurzynski (2446) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2015
Tap at Old Fashioned. Nose is very caramel candy-forward with some diacetyl. Flavor is straight caramel malt with some vegetal hops. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 3, 2011
On tap at the GTMW 2011. Clear amber with a creamy tan head. Aroma is malted and sugary with toffee, sugar and mild fruit. Taste of toffee, sugar, noble hops and malt. The sugar feels a bit off here, not a huge fan of it and a leads to a bit of an off-finish. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 29, 2011
On tap at Red Eye as "Cartride". Poured clear, light-medium ambery-orange with a sticky white head.. nice clarity, but it needed more head. The aroma picked up warm caramel and honey malts with leafy overtones.. well-balanced and enjoyable. The flavor found fairly high doses of earthy and leafy bitterness over warm maple and caramelly malts.. a touch of prickly alcohol gave a fine complement on the finish. Medium-bodied and warm on the palate with great balance. One of the best maibocks I’ve ever had. nuplastikk (6312) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 21, 2011
Draft at OF. Sconnie Mexican Maibock..enter the danger zone. Fitlered amber-tan color. Malty aroma, a touch of alcohol. Hmm. Not so bad. Lots of Ale-like fruity tones, which sort of cover up or replace the lager yeast tones. Doesn’t cover the alcohol well at all, comes off quite harsh. Almost pepperminty at times, just lacks any semblance of subtlety. Not far from being an undrinkable mess.

On draught at the Red Eye brewpub near downtown Wausau, Wisconsin. Sampled during their Second Anniversary Night. Pours a clear light copper colored brew with a thick off-white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring and spotty lacing. Aroma is fruity, floral hops, a hint of sugar and some golden multi-grain malt. Taste is semi-sweet, medium to full bodied, soft carbonation with typical maibock flavors with some additional light raisin, sugar and a hint of banana. Finish is semi-sweet with a fruity golden grain malt and floral hop aftertaste with minimal bitterness.
