muzzlehatch (4959) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 11, 2016
Draught sample at the brewpub, July 28th. Hazy dark-ish amber, seems a little lighter and thinner-looking than usual for style, with a bit of lasting head...nose is caramelized banana, clove, and I think some candied cherries...body is moderately tart throughout, with little sweetness, lightly bready with some dry caramel malts vaguely evident, a bit thin-textured though not ruinously so. It’s all right. nuplastikk (6275) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 17, 2012
On tap at Red Eye..says 14 IBU and 4.9% ABV. Medium bodied, sort of watery. Dulled brown malt tones, clovy, the banana is relatively subdued. Easy drinking, but sort of a cardboard grainy mouthfeel. Not much character, very sessionable, butty mild malt action. OK, but incomparable to an authentic version. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 3, 2011
On tap at the GTMW 2011. Murky muddy orange with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma of banana, bready malt, yeast, mild clove and a hint of dark malt. Thinner bodied brew with light banana, nuts, bready malt and yeast. This one just didn’t do it for me.
