On tap at the Red Eye brewpub. Clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and fruit. Taste of cocoa, caramel, dark fruit, malt and mild toffee and nuts. Finishes up semi-dry in a glass that says red eye.

On draught at the Red Eye brewpub in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy brown amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin ring. Aroma of fruity caramel malt, some floral hops, roasted nuts and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of roasted caramel malt, roasted nuts and a hint of yeast. Finish has a slight metallic/medicinal bitterness which is closer to an English style brown ale compared to the regular Red Eye Brown Ale.
