4 oz taster at the brewpub. Pour is brown ruby with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of faint nuttiness and some malt. Taste is thin, watery, featuring some nuttiness and not much else. Meh.

On tap at the Red Eye brewpub. Clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and fruit. Taste of cocoa, caramel, dark fruit, malt and mild toffee and nuts. Finishes up semi-dry in a glass that says red eye. Skyview (6029) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - NOV 27, 2010
On draught at the Red Eye brewpub in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy brown amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin ring. Aroma of fruity caramel malt, some floral hops, roasted nuts and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of roasted caramel malt, roasted nuts and a hint of yeast. Finish has a slight metallic/medicinal bitterness which is closer to an English style brown ale compared to the regular Red Eye Brown Ale.
