Keg @ Red Eye. Chestnut pour with a small head. Nose has mild licorice, brown sugar. Toasted grain. Dark fruits. Draught sample at the brewpub, July 28th. Dark amber-bronze, almost opaque, with a bit of lasting off-white head...VERY sweet nose is all candy-sugar at first; eventually a bit of plumminess shows up; it’s offputting actually though it becomes tolerable after a few minutes...thankfully it’s a bit more balanced in the mouth; still quite sweet, but a touch of alcoholic harshness is welcome, as is a hint of dry bread crumbs and a little tartness towards the finish. Reasonably full body. unclemike (3206) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - OCT 9, 2015
pour was a murky brown with a small tan head. Aroma has not of dark fruit and a strong candy sugar. Flavor was decent as well with some fig and a nice helping of candy sugar. Some alcohol shows in this one but this is still a decent dubbel. tomthompson89 (1983) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 25, 2015

On tap at the O’so tap house. Pours a deep ruby amber with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has some dark bread notes with a good amount of fig and light caramel backing. Flabor begins with sweet dark grains and is joined by a deep sweet fig note and caramel.
