[Growler] shared by skyview. Pours a cloudy brown with a small beige head. Nice chocolatey aroma. Thinnish mouthfeel, a bit nutty, touch of chocolate, a bit roasty and a bit tart. vyvvy (6476) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - AUG 23, 2008
GTMW 08 - Pousr brown with a tan head. The aroma is maple syrup, toasted malt and hazelnut. Medium slick body with generous carbonation. The flavor starts nutty and toasted with light syrup sweetness and some hoppiness. There is a lasting sweet nutty finish. Decent beer. JK (6162) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - AUG 17, 2008
Thanks to Skyview for sharing from his growler. Grain and alcohol in the flavor and the aroma. Some nuts. The palate is quite thick for what this is, and it is probably the best quality of the beer. There is only so much that you can do with a brown ale and in its style, it is a fine beer. xmarcnolanx (937) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - AUG 15, 2008

On draught at the brewpub next to downtown Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear tannish brown brew with a heavy and creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to creamy film top and ring with some spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, maple syrup, a touch of brown sugar, Dark pitted fruits, vanilla and a touch of lime. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of roasted caramel malt, maple syrup, a touch of oak and no bitterness. Finish is semi-sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste that turns to a dry character after the finish. Quite enjoyable.
