It’s ok, although the flavours seem kindof disconntected from one another and it tastes a bit watery at times. Clearly not at the level of the seriously good belgian beers, but not as bad as the ratings here would imply. mike_77 (7229) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - JUN 17, 2014
75cl bottle brewed by Sterkens in Meer - Very dark red-brown colour. Dark malts. Fruity and sweet with some liquorice in the aroma. Light bitterness. Strong carbonation. oliodnb (664) - ITALY - APR 20, 2014
Dark amber color, fine light beige head. Aromas of malts and sweet fruits (orange). Taste is malts and slightly herbaceous citrus. Slightly hoppy finish. ManVsBeer (11103) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2012
Strong ale with a better than average taste. Some fruits, some malts apparent. ska (232) - ITALY - JAN 1, 2011
Strange, 4 years since the last rate and RB says that the brewer is not active. Today two of my friends had two bottle of this, I’ve tasted from their glasses. It was produced in Belgium with a label written in italian and the same logo as the picture here, I don’t remember the brewer’s name and I didn’t saw some kind of dates.
33cl bottle, dark reddish color, medium persistent beige head, caramel and spices aroma, cherries notes, sweet flavor, medium body, not convincing finish with a cardboard and mud background

Bottled(330ml). -Dark amber coloured, small beige airy head. Sweet malty and caramel aroma with fruity and mild chocolate notes. Nice spicy and fruity finish, but something is missing. Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - OCT 16, 2006
dark coloured, witha big, creamy and persistent head. The aroma is strong and spicy, a little peppery. Discrete body and a good bitterness. Good but misses something. JorisPPattyn (10112) - BELGIUM - JUL 3, 2006
Very dark chestnut beer; small, brownish tinted head. Dark malts, chocolate malt, chestnuts or other nuts, quite sweet nose. Sweet chocolate flavour, even "praliné"; liquorice, some roasted malts. Medium to well bodied. Burnt/roasted flavours come up in the aftertaste. Sweet, even when not bad. One does never know where a "Sterkens" beer is brewed, but in this instance, Huyghe is more than plausible. KnutAlbert (6798) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 29, 2006
Somemalty taste here, but the smell and finish are medical. Totthpaste, perhaps. Maybe it was my bottle that was off! Dorqui (2297) - Brescia, ITALY - OCT 13, 2005
[Label: brewed by Sterkens]
Light and compact foam. Beautiful red/dark orange color, brown reflex. Very elegant and much bubbly one, hazy and fraught. Intense scent of leaven, must and small red fruits (currant, cherry). Warm taste, a lot balanced and with forts bitter period followed a lot sweetish moment. Strong liqueur and caramel rumors. Long and pleasant end.
