Tap @ TacoMac, Cumming. Medium brown color. Flavor of hops, big citrus rind bitterness, toasted malt, burnt sugars. Smells of floral hops & brown malts. If I made a Brown Ale it’d taste like this American Brown IPA! (3976) theisti (4179) - Kansas, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Shaker pint draft at Taco Mac Metropolis in Atlanta, Georgia. The pour is a hazed copper golden with a minimal off white head. The aroma is sweet caramel nut malt, floral dandelion, and a mild roast. The taste is the soft faint roast up front, turns to the fresh sweet caramel nut malt and the introduces a bit of citrus fruit and floral hop character. Interesting flavor mix, nice fresh and clean. The palate is medium bodied with a lower carbonation level and a gypsum mineral finish. A bit dirty in the back, though that didn’t take away from the enjoyment. Fun beer. Pours an opaque chocolate brown with a nice buff head. Malty aroma has notes of caramel and horehound. Rich flavor floods the palate with caramel, malty, nutty, earthy and horehound notes. Texture is firm, lively and fizzy. Get your Mongo on!
