COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sticky Stout is Red Hares Winter Seasonal Oatmeal Stout. Brewed with dark roasted malts and tons of oats, it is a nice balance of light and sweet. Hints of chocolate and roasted coffee come through on the front, finishing with a sticky mouthfeel. With a 6.5% ABV this beer is not too heavy, not to light... its just right!

Pours a clear dark brown body with a wispy beige head. The nose is roasty with burnt caramel and coffee. The flavor is fairly sweet with some roast, coffee, caramel, light chocolate. Medium bodied and indeed, slightly sticky, with soft light carbonation. Ok beer, but not something Id drink with regularity.

Black/brown pour with tan head. Aroma is roasty. Flavor is sweet roasted malt and some flat almost wheat like stuff. Wonder if that is the oats? A slight earthiness to it as well. Some light bitter on the finish. pretty tasty i recon

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear dark brown to black color with a small tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. The taste is completely ruined by the fairly strong metallic aftertaste that destroys the roasted malt and raisin flavor.

DocJitsu (1921) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - DEC 25, 2016
Looks like Coca-Cola from the color of the beer to the looks and behavior of the head. Dark roast malt nose, moderately fruity, and a slight note of coffee. Nearly more tart than sweet, though the tartness is moderate. Flavors reflect the items detected in the nose. Not exciting, but no more offensive.

oobawa (1078) - Tennessee, USA - NOV 29, 2016
Somewhat mild in taste and feel, especially for a big winter oatmeal stout. Still, all the wanted flavors are there--chocolate, coffee, mild sweetness and a hint of a bitter finish--and the lighter texture assures easy drinking.

Draft sample at Hops + Crafts in Nashville. Clear chestnut color with a thin brown head of tiny bubbles. Aroma is almost non-existent but a hint of chocolate. Thin mouthfeel. A light taste of malt and coffee but also a light hint of sourness that seems misplaced. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at 2016 Hogs and Hops. Decent head over a black body. Medium body. Aroma: sweet toffee with dark bread. Flavor follows. Too boozy, especially for less than 7% ABV. Overall: very good but not excellent nor particularly memorable.
