appearance: clear dark brown, creamy tan head. aroma: muddled cardboard, caramel, toffee, grass, earth. taste: soggy brown bread, burnt cardboard, wet newspaper, herb garden, grass. finish: muddled malt finish, herbal hops, slick palate. notes: Couldn’t finish this puppy. Hard to say what made it so subjectively bad for me. The malts and hops just didn’t mesh; felt like a muddled mess that tasted faintly of vomit. Can from Total Wine in Charleston, South Carolina.

Lots of chocolate, some brown sugar, some roasted coffee. Tried courtesy of Brandon in 2016. Mep3222 (1641) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - MAY 6, 2016
Carmelized malty aroma and flavors. Slight sweet finish, just enough hops to balance the malt but not to be hoppy. Nice brown. Some cocoa and chocolate flavors as well.

Pours mahogany with an off white head. Aroma is a bit hoppy with a bit of roasted malt on the nose. Medium carbonation on the tongue with a ton of roasted malt and a bit of coffee and nuttiness as well. Has a pleasant backend bitterness. Decent brown ale. Bottle shared by oRos. Pours medium brown with a nice beige head and a brown sugar aroma. There is a light roasted malt flavor with a good hop profile and a slightly dry finish. geologyguy (1662) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - MAR 26, 2015

12oz can, purchased 2/23/15 from Habersham in Savannah. Hazy brown / red color. Thicker khaki head, that retains well, and leaves pretty thick full sheets of lace. Kind of a tropical fruity jolly rancher flavor up front, followed by some toasty spicy malt, touch of chocolate. Mild nuttiness. Medium body, with a very full mouthfeel. Kind of creamy and thick. Smooth, lighter to moderate strength carbonation. Moderate sweet taste. Good light to moderate bitter. Very mild bite. Pretty nice, complex flavorful bold amber/brown ale. Better than expected. Would be cool to try fresh. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - FEB 18, 2015
Poured from the tap into a pint mug at the Marietta Pizza Company.
Aroma- Has a nice hop/malt and bread aroma
Appearance- This is an amber colored brew with a off-white head.
Taste- A nice malt flavored beer with a nice hop finish, the large alcohol content is noticeable (in a good way)
Palate- This is a medium bodied brew with light carbonation and a creamy to oily texture.
Overall- First Red Hare product, better than average and worth having again.
