UPDATED: AUG 20, 2016 Wet grain aroma. Clear amber yellow colour with white head, a bit of lacing. Tastes vaguely of ginger ale, a bit of booze, sweet grains. Better than some pale lagers. Re-rate, 2016 at Bisita in Winnipeg. Has a sweet yeasty grainy element that brings some flavour to this beer. A bit darker reddish body than post lagers. Listed at 8%. Better than my previous experience with this beverage.

It comes with a very pale yellow colour and a tiny head. Fading away in a blick of an eye. Its kind of malty and exceptional sweet. Its for sure not brewed after the "Reinheitsgebot" or any international norm else. Moderat malty. Be careful, the you cant taste the alcohol level in it. If you dont know its like a malt beer.

Bottle. Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is grain, honey, urine, hay. Flavor is medium sweet with grain, corn syrup, and some spice (anise?). Aftertaste is metallic, anise, and unpleasant.

27.06.2012. 0,33l Can. Thanks to Trond T for bringing me this beer back from the Philippines! Pale golden colour with white head. Weak malty aroma with notes of alcohol. Grainy flavours of corn. Very light and easy drinkable. Short aftertaste.

Bottle, American label as "Red Horse Beer". Pours with an initial spasm of fizzy white foam, but it settles quickly. The aroma is kinda musty. This drinks with that corny, mushy, ethyl-heavy funk of a bad import. It mellows a bit over time to deliver from the realm of the awful, but it certainly isnt on my re-buy list. (#4616, 6/21/2012)

50cl can from a Mini Mart in Saigon. Golden with a small white head. Aroma of light malt, grain, alcohol and sugar. Sweet with a slightly alcoholic taste. Drinkable, better than expected. (2012-05-11)

Stopped by Zekes roadhouse and was looking to get some odd country ratings. When I saw Philippines I was like hell yea, than when I found out I am finally getting a Malt Liquor rate I was more than enthused. Pours pale yellow with wet cardboard aroma but not in unpleasant way. Tastes super malty, and light hops, a touch of basement floor. I thought it was a fine beer for what it is. I was warned that this is strong by bartender he clearly doesnt know me.

Jan 2009: from BA. Found this beer in an Oriental Supermarket in Ghent, Belgium. The well used, obviously returnable orangey brown bottle held 500ml of beer, the rear label quoted 6.46% ABV. Poured into a La Chouffe tulip glass three times. Very pale urine colour with a good clean white foaming head on each pour. Carbonisation bubbles rising through the weak looking body throughout the review. The heads fell away from their original large toppings to a thinner but still deep covering. No aroma for me, not even a hint of malts, so it got my normal 3 for a non smelling lager style beer. There is a smattering of hops and malt in the taste but other than that nothing I could find at all. The alcohol is evident from the outset and because the beer is so thin in the mouthfeel and without any body, it takes over very easily and becomes the main feature. Im no expert on this style but this cant be a good example surely?
