Mexican Ale
"It is a deep coppery-red in colour and is very aromatic with intensely floral hops and a lightly sweet and malty flavour. This full-bodied ale offers a very pleasant high bitterness, with smooth sweet malt character, creamy head with good carbonation, and with an excellent bittersweet finish."

It pours slightly cloudy deep red amber colored body with an almost beige frothy head. Aroma is malty, sweet corn, adjuncts, slightly yeasty and burnt. Taste a mixture between sweet malts, light hops and burnt bitterness. Watery texture, soft carbonation.

Pours a cloudy amber color. About two fingers slow forming beige head. Okay retention, excellent lacing. Pretty.

Aroma is nutty, dark fruits. Sort of a cross between an amber and a bock. Ooh, AmberBock! Anyhow. Malty, malty, malty. Yeah, floral hops, I detect them, but I don’t really small them.

Taste is sweet, but enough alcohol to make it turn bitter. Nutty, toffee, brown bread crust. Maybe a hint of dates.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. It’s sort of a roigh, jagged swallow. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something off here.

Overall, it’s alright. For the price I paid, it will do. I wouldn’t recommend it, unless it’s really cheap. I’ll not buy it again.
