"It is a deep coppery-red in colour and is very aromatic with intensely floral hops and a lightly sweet and malty flavour. This full-bodied ale offers a very pleasant high bitterness, with smooth sweet malt character, creamy head with good carbonation, and with an excellent bittersweet finish."

Pours a cloudy amber color. About two fingers slow forming beige head. Okay retention, excellent lacing. Pretty.

Aroma is nutty, dark fruits. Sort of a cross between an amber and a bock. Ooh, AmberBock! Anyhow. Malty, malty, malty. Yeah, floral hops, I detect them, but I don’t really small them.

Taste is sweet, but enough alcohol to make it turn bitter. Nutty, toffee, brown bread crust. Maybe a hint of dates.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. It’s sort of a roigh, jagged swallow. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something off here.

Overall, it’s alright. For the price I paid, it will do. I wouldn’t recommend it, unless it’s really cheap. I’ll not buy it again.

[backlog] 11-04-15 / bottle in Melbourne. Copper colour. Sweet malt body, with bitter finish. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 2.5/5

[email protected]’Malleys, Vaasa. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, some grass, grains and mild sweetness to it. Flavour is floral, fruity, some wooden notes a swell as some sweet malts. I had expected something harsh and bulky, but in fact this one was quite tasty.

Bottle 33cl. Poured into a tumbler. Clear deep amber, good two finger frothy beige head, diminishing slowly, good lacing; aroma dark malts, toasted, caramel, brown sugar; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light toffee, cardboard, metallic, average duration, bittersweet finish, roasty and mash notes; medium body, watery to oily, soft carbonation; unfinished impression but decent.

Piwo ciemnomiedziane wręcz brązowe, klarowne. Całkiem trwała piana, drobnopęcherzykowa, ładnie lepi szkło. W aromacie karmel, chleb. W smaku słodkie, z fajną goryczkową kontrą, znów tu na pierwzym planie pieczywo dalej karmel. Pełne. Wysycenie niskie. Pierwsza przygoda z Meksykiem, jak na nie mój styl... całkiem udana.
