Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma of citrus/spicy/floral/earthy hops, toffee, toast. The flavor is very similar, with the malts playing a bigger role. There is a slight coffee note. A really tasty brown ale. Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 15, 2012
500mL bottle. Poured clear, medium brown with a fluffy, sticky beige head.. looked good in the glass. The aroma picked up sweeter, toasty molasses, nutty notes, and a bit of honey with fresh hops that were hard to place.. this had an interesting brightness to it, and I enjoyed it. The flavor found the same molasses plus some almond at the core.. fresh earthy and herbal bitterness around.. finished with good balance between big hops and nutty malts. Light-medium bodied and well-balanced.. moderate carbonation.. good stuff. mikey (508) - farmington, Utah, USA - MAY 20, 2013
The nose is roasty and nutty with notes of coffee and chocolate. It has a nice, roasted, nutty flavor that exhibits good balance with the abundant piny hop notes. There are notes of toffee and coffee in the end as well. It’s very satisfying and drinkable with a soft medium body and dry finish. Very nice MikeJslc (778) - Alabama, USA - MAY 12, 2014
Deep copper/light brown, clear, persistent beige head. Aroma of grainy, nutty, bready malt with a little baker’s chocolate. Flavor: dark bread crusts, cocoa, nutty and toasty malt, light piney hop flavor, a somewhat grainy finish. Malty in balance, medium-full bodied. Tasty brown ale.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2013 Citrus-y hop aroma and flavor. Very little malt aroma... Sweetish malt flavor, with some light caramel and toast. A little nutty flavor in finish and aftertaste. Hop flavor is pretty nice, but there’s a somewhat harsh bitterness in aftertaste.bhensonb (16256) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 24, 2014
10/29/13: Getting more malt aroma: Mostly toasted malt. Toasted flavor seems more prominent, too... Not noticing the bitter aftertaste.
Bottle from the Harris Street Utah state store. Pours brown with a slight beige/tan head. Aroma is nutty/spicy/malty. Med body. Flavor is lightly greasy nutty with some moderately dark roasty malt and spicy/grassy hop. Works very well. Nice. Cybercat (6508) - Georgia, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Malty aroma has a spicy note, mainly cloves and cinnamon, and a hint of molasses. Pours a clear chestnut brown with a decent light tan head. Malty flavor has a woody, grassy hops overtone and subtle notes of brown sugar and cloves. Smooth, firm texture has plenty of strong fizz, leaving a fizzy, hoppy, slightly spicy finish. This cat definitely will mouse! patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 2, 2014
bottle - Pours dark brown with a lingering tan head and lacing. It smells of toasted caramel malt and taste the same with minimal hops bitterness and a lingering toasted finish. It’s medium bodied, robust, and overall a good brown ale.
