Had on draft at the brewery. Chocolate, roasted malts, yeast driven esters and phenolic, super dry finish. I am not a fan of how the yeast plays off of the roasted malts. Mr_TBone (168) - Hollywood, California, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Big chocolate cocoa nose, not much yeast but a touch of pepper. Nice sweet chocolate taste, dry, light bodied and a hint of spice. Chocolate over powered yeast, but good beer-!

Appearance: Dark brown with a small tan head and some lacing. Aroma and taste of bakers chocolate, grainy and spices, dry finish. This tastes a lot like the recently released Mole Porter but with Belgian yeast. Not much of a saison, the chocolate overpowers the rest.
I’ve listed this as a Saison but really it is a porter with light Belgian elements. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium brown head. The aroma is rich roast and chocolates. The flavor is dry with dominant dark chocolate, some light fruit and tiny spices, very mellow and dry with lots to like. A porter really with some light additions. Good.
