Thanks Craig (Sledeutah).
Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a soft burnt orange almost hazy sort of rugged brown color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Soft glazed remnants of a head bleed into a messy lace.
The aroma leans piney sharp bitter resinous behavior. Just really grips my nose hard and pulls in the sharpness cleanly with a touch of soft malt.
The flavor leans to the sharp piney bitter resin and clings to a sly malt, but low and smooth. Piney aftertaste with a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with the crisp malts moving smoothly along my tongue. Semi-sticky palatable bitter resin hits my tongue. Sipping to sessionable in between sort of feel.
Overall, quite a different DIPA for me, but then again living in Vermont, our DIPA’s taste nothing like this. Would this be a Utah DIPA? Is there such thing? But this is quite good and would love to have again if given the chance. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Clear gold in color with a thin white head. Crisp with citrus zest and hops most prevalent. The alcohol is fairly noticeable, especially through the finish. voyageurmike (437) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2016
Bottle from the Layton state store. Clear golden beer with medium body and good sized head at first. Aroma is mainly of pine, the taste has both grapefruit and pine hops notes. The finish is intense piney hops. mcberko (17830) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2016
500mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of piney hops, some resins and caramel bready malt. Flavour is fairly robust, with lots of piney hops and bone dry biscuity malt. My kind of double IPA - loads of piney hops and bone dry malt. Excellent. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - APR 23, 2016
Bottle. Amber beer with a big cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor. Medium body. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light tropical fruit.
