Cask, gravity, at Cambridge Beer Festival ’08. Copper with a white head. Sweet rather fruity aroma. Taste is sour and fruity with an attractive nuttiness. Some bitterness. I liked this, and not just because it was beer number nine of the day and the sun came out. cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 10, 2007

Cask at Red Shoot, New Forest. Warm golden colour, quite refreshing, nice bitterness, good quaffing ale. Looked out of the window to see a huge stag walk past, fantastic sight. Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2005
Casl conditioned @ Red Shoot, New Forest. Perfectly acceptable with light malt & herbal hops but just a bit restrained and boring. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 25, 2005
Golden colour. Not a lot of aroma. Dry and quite malty for the colour. The finish is bitter, leaning towards astringent. A decent session beer. Cask (handpump) at the Red Shoot, New Forest.

Aug, 2004 Red Shoot Inn. After conflicting reports on the status of the brewing operation at Red Shoot, with a number of people saying that the beers were brewed at Wadworth these days, it was nice to get to the pub and see that it still does brew its own beers. This is a clean, crisp session bitter with good oaky character and a touch of apple in the finish. Fresh and tasty. [3.5]
April, 2015 Red Shoot Inn, New Forest. Dry. Too dry. Like a thin lager. Sweetish finish. Few hops. Slightly musty. [2.5]
Cask Conditioned at The Falkland Arms, Gt. Tew. Golden orange colour with bubbly head. A sweetly malted fruity brew with a heady hop finish. Good flavours for lower ABV. Crisp dry finish.
