Cask in Dog & Duck. Very dark brown, off white head. Nose is chocolatey, cocoa powder, caramel, liquorice, roasted malt. Taste is malty, chocolatey, touch of coffee, roasted malt and a far amount of caramel. Nice malty, chocolatey porter.

En porter der er værd at drikek når det er varmt. Lidt tynd, middel brændt og næsten ingen humle. Har smagen af porter, men en lys udgave.

Handpull cask at the Grain & Hop Store as Mad Squirrel London Porter. Ruby brown with a big creamy khaki head. Not completely translucent but it catches a nice glint of light. Chocolate malt aroma with caramel milkshake, chewy Hobnob, all complemented by a nice strong coffee. Sweet taste with herbal notes, turning slightly more bitter at the end of the sip. Liquorice and cherry brandy in the aftertaste. Body is too thin for my liking, especially for these kinds of beers. All in all it’s a fairly cracking cask porter.

ThirstyBird (2925) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2017
On cask at the Brewery Shop in Berkhamsted. The beer pours a very dark brown with a tan head. The smell is dark roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, molasses. The taste is dark chocolate, dark roasted malt, dry and bitter on the end. The body is light+ with mild carbonation.

Cask Half Pint at White Horse Old Ale Festival 2011, Parsons Green, London in Nov 2011 - Dark brown in colour. Malty; roasty malts, liquorice, chocolate, some coffee, caramel. Fruity; dark fruits, slightly vinous. Sweetish roast malty fruity throughout. Very drinkable. Decent. (2011-11-26)

Gravicask (StABF2016) at 5.0%
Good roasty aroma, chocolate malts, softly sweet. Roastier taste, dryish bitter hops. A touch dusty, fairly burnt - a nice stout porter, and at a sensible ABV. Drinkability is good. Balance between sweet and burnt aspects well achieved.

November 2016 - Tap at The Red Squirrel Emporium, High Wycombe, as ’Red Squirrel London Porter’. Opaque black, foamy tan head, full lacing. Aroma is earthy, spent coffee grounds, light red berry. Body is light and smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is earthy, bourbon biscuit, coffee, lactose with a dry finish. Quite nice. (3.4)

500ml bottle. Round and creamy fresh with roasted hints. Nice and fresh, easy to drink, malty with caramelly hints.

Cask @ The Boot, St Albans
Wysoka paloność, ogromna porcja gorzkiej czekolady, kawa z mlekiem, tosty, zboże, przypieczony chleb, lekka dymiona nuta, cieme owoce i karmel. JEDWABISTA i SUPER kremowa tekstura! Tej gładkości nie da się opisać. Piwo jest tak kremowe, rozciąga się po całej długości ten smak, rozchodzi się po ustach i podniebieniu. Goryczka niewielka, krótka. Umiarkowane ciało. Super-pijalne. Bardzo dobre!

Cask in Grain and Hop Store. Dark brown with a thin but bubbly tan head. Slight aroma of chocolate and leather. Taste is similar with added berry fruit. Went very flat, despite having a decent body. Mixed bag

Cask at Nags Head Reading. Little in the way of aroma but great body and taste. Creamy like a stout but not complaining.
