Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, light rubber. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120503]

Cask @ The Allied Arms. Pours clear light ambee with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, slightly soapy, caramel, hay and hoppy. Flavor is fruity, malty, some caramel sweetness, nicely bitter and some phenols. Finishes bitter dry.

[cask at City Arms, Manchester] Golden brownish ale with a creamy half-inch head from the sparkler. Crisp, grassy hop aroma. On the palate, very drinkable, subtle hop profile, slightly spicy – touch of biscuity malt. Loved the Cascade finish. Went back for a second pint [28102011]

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Pale gold with white head. Smooth malty beer with a hint of sweetish caramel overlaid with a leafy light hop. Generally a little underpowered but still reasonable.

Cask at CPK, Pimlico, London on 30th April 2011. Hazy amber with offwhite film head and hardly any lacing. Aroma was slightly yeasty, main taste was fruity with berries, crisp dry and refreshing. Dryish with citric notes in the finish. pleasant, lightly engaging texture; drinkable.
