Cask at the Pickerel, Cambridge. This is a reddish brown ale. Crisp malty background, with strong earthy bitter hop finish. Very tasty for strength, I like this. niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2011
On cask at shepherds crook, Crowell. Pours chestnut brown with a white head. Dark fruits some spice. Very nice for a beer of this strength

Sweet light grainy aroma. Mashy. A bit under-attenuated. Honey. Taste follows the aroma. Finish quite raw hops. Closer to bitter than brown ale.
