Tasted just like regular Red Stripe to me (which is a good thing). Maybe it was because I had them both on tap, I don't know. Maybe it was just because I was in Jamaica and having a great time. Good stuff. frankenkitty (2012) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2006
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2006 Appeared clear and light with a carbonated fizz forming a quick white head in the bottle upon opening (no pour... swigged from bottle). Delicate aromas are florals and grains while the flavor finds a pleasant sweetness resting on pale malt haunches. Terribly refreshing on a day with 100% humidity, this is a beer which is perfect on its home turf.

Bottle shared by a friend, medium sample. Clear yellow color, short frothy head. Aroma of a bit grainy malt, slight grassy notes, bit rice. Soft bitterness in taste. Refreshing, especially when served cold on a hot summer day. Not bad at all actually. LuckeyHaskins99 (180) - Toledo, Ohio, USA - MAR 17, 2002
I enjoyed this beer a good deal more than regular Red Stripe on my last trip to Jam. It seems to stay cold better (Or perhaps it is because there is less of it.) Unlike the regular this tastes less sweet, and was never skunky. For unknown reasons it was usually .50 - $1.00 US more a bottle than the other stuff. cheap (5855) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 20, 2010
Sameold short stub bottle. Looks good, light and clear but lots of streaming big and small bubbles, appears fun. Nice creamy head cerated by this action and it lasts. Nice hay clean civilized flavors that come across interestingly easy for this lager lover. Smooth permanent aroma which is not offending, good overall beer experience. Likable lager. Will buy again in same format.

Love Red Stripe, I even enjoyed the light version. Short stubby bottle, pale, golden, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, light body, if price is that of a domestic macro, great grass cutting beer Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - FEB 21, 2013
Actually, the bottle says US but anyway. It was flavourless and not so nice to drink. NOt bad but nt even for a relax in front of tv. Incipit, goldy and that’s it. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 10, 2010
Thin yellow with no head or lace. Light malt, paper, lemon on the nose. Lemon, wet paper flavor. Thin and fizzy but drinkable. ronaldtheriot (1932) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Red Stripe Light has a very thin, white head and a clear, golden appearance with streaming bubbles and almost no lacing. The aroma is of sweet barley, paper, and a slight spiciness. Taste is of sweet biscuit, paper, a touch of hops, and water. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Red Stripe Light finishes crisp, refreshing, and dry. Overall, this is a better-than-average light beer. RJT

A good light beer. Slightly different in many aspects of most light beers. I’ve only had it while in Jamaica and haven’t seen it at all locally. Would like to drink it again.
